Evecars is a family-run car rental company based in Evenes &ndash; right in the heart of Northern Norway. We started Evecars with a simple goal: to make it easier and more affordable for people to experience the breathtaking nature we ourselves love so deeply.
We have a true passion for Northern Norway &ndash; for its mountains, fjords, midnight sun, and endless opportunities for fishing, camping, and outdoor adventures. But we also know that traveling in Norway can be expensive, especially for those coming from abroad. That&rsquo;s why we wanted to offer an alternative that makes it possible for more people to explore this magical region &ndash; without breaking the bank.
Evecars was born from two hobbies we&rsquo;re passionate about: &ndash; Exploring and traveling around Northern Norway &ndash; A love for older, pre-loved cars with soul and character
By combining these passions, we offer a car rental concept that&rsquo;s a little different: safe, used vehicles at reasonable prices &ndash; perfect for travelers looking to experience Lofoten, Senja, Evenes and the rest of Northern Norway on a budget.

Evecars AS wants you as a user to feel confident that we safeguard your privacy and process all personal data in accordance with applicable laws.
Personal Data To use the online booking service, you must provide your name, address, phone number, and email address. To register an order, it is also necessary to store information about the rental period and the type of equipment that has been reserved/booked. The service is only available to individuals aged 18 or older, so you must also provide your year of birth. When using the service, your order history will be stored. This personal information is used to deliver the service to you and is stored as long as you are registered as a user with us. The personal data we have registered is available and can be modified on your personal page, which you can access via the online booking service after logging in. You may also contact us to request the deletion of your personal data or to have your user account removed. If you do so, you will no longer be able to use the service unless you register again.
Sharing of Personal Data with Third Parties Evecars AS will not sell, trade, or pass on your personal data to third parties. The online booking is managed through a system provided by Sharefox AS.
Payment Information When placing an order, your card information is stored by the payment provider DIBS to manage your order. DIBS stores the information securely and is PCI certified. This enables us to handle order changes, release of reservations such as deposits, credits, and additional charges incurred by the user (such as for late return, damage, etc.), and to reduce misuse and fraud. Transaction data is stored in relation to your order, but not the card details. Transaction data will be stored as long as you are registered as a user of the service, in accordance with the section on personal data.
Use of Collected Information The personal data collected for these purposes includes both the information you provide yourself (such as name, email address, etc.) and data collected through your use of the service, such as the equipment you rent, and technical information about your device and internet connection. Personal data may also be supplemented with available information from third-party sources.
Cookies When you visit our service, we use various technologies to recognize you as a user and to collect data. For example, we use cookies to remember rental dates and equipment. Cookies simplify the use of the service and help us provide relevant information when you visit our website. They are also used to temporarily store data such as available rental dates, prices, and similar details.
Through server logs and other tools, we may collect information about the device and connection used to access our service, including operating system, browser version, IP address, cookies, and unique identifiers. This information is used anonymously and in aggregated statistics, but may also be linked to your user account. It allows us, among other things, to adapt the display of our service to the device you are using.

Terms and Conditions for Rental with Evecars AS
Evecars AS, organization number 935338689, located at Birkelundveien 1, 8534 Liland, offers car rentals to both private individuals and businesses. Reservations are made through our website <a>www.evecars.no</a>, and vehicles are picked up and returned by agreement.

General Terms

These terms apply to the rental and any purchase of goods and services from evecars.no. The terms, together with the customer's booking, constitute the complete agreement.

Definition of Parties
</li>
</ol>
Lessor: Evecars AS, hereinafter referred to as "we", "us", or "the lessor". Lessee: The person registered as the customer when booking, hereinafter referred to as "you", "your", or "the lessee".

Payment, Deposit, and Prices
</li>

Payment is made via Visa or Mastercard online through our payment provider DIBS, which meets the highest security standards. The lessee pays when booking, and the rental agreement is considered binding at that point.
Evecars AS does not take a deposit in advance. However, the payment card connected to the booking may be charged after the rental if any extra costs arise, such as damage, missing fuel, fines, or tolls. Missing returns will be reported to the police.
All prices include VAT unless otherwise specified. The total cost of the rental or purchase will be clearly stated before you confirm your booking and includes all direct costs related to the rental. Ferry tickets, parking fees, tolls, fines, or any other charges incurred during the rental period will be billed to the customer by Evecars AS. If there have been significant pricing errors on the website, Evecars AS reserves the right to change, delete, or reject orders even after the customer has received a booking confirmation or similar. These errors will be corrected, and the customer informed within a reasonable time after discovery.
All vehicles are delivered with a full tank of fuel and must be returned with a full tank. Failure to comply will result in a deduction from the payment card for the missing fuel, plus a fee of NOK 500.

Vehicle Condition
</li>

We are committed to delivering vehicles in good technical condition and properly cleaned. Vehicles are inspected before handover. The lessee is responsible for reporting any visible damage before using the vehicle.
We rent out older vehicles, all of which are approved for use by the Norwegian Public Roads Administration and have passed the required EU inspections. Vehicles are regularly inspected and maintained by us. However, unforeseen issues can happen, and in the event of a breakdown or failure outside of your control, we will provide a replacement vehicle as soon as possible.

Damage and Accidents
</li>

All damage or technical issues must be reported to Evecars AS immediately. In cases of negligence, misuse, or violation of the terms, charges may be billed to the payment card used for the reservation.

Use of the Vehicle
</li>
</ol>
The vehicle must be used in a safe and responsible manner.
Driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol is strictly prohibited and entails full financial liability.
Smoking in the vehicle is not allowed.
Pets are not allowed in the vehicles.
Driving is permitted throughout the Nordic region. Cross-border travel must be communicated in advance.
Commercial use (e.g. as a taxi or courier) is not permitted unless a written agreement is in place.
The lessee is responsible for tolls, parking fees, and any traffic violations.

Driver Requirements

The lessee and all drivers must be at least 18 years old.
We accept valid foreign driving licenses.
All drivers must be registered in the rental agreement.

Delivery and Return
</li>

Vehicle pickup and return take place at the agreed time and location. Late returns may incur additional fees according to our current rates. The lessee is responsible for returning the vehicle in agreed condition and with a full tank unless otherwise arranged.

Changes and Cancellations

Changes to a reservation must be confirmed by Evecars AS. Cancellations made more than 48 hours before pickup will be fully refunded. Cancellations made less than 48 hours before pickup will be charged in full.

Insurance and Deductibles
</li>

All vehicles at Evecars AS are insured. The lessee is responsible for a deductible in the event of damage, as stated in the booking confirmation. In cases of gross negligence, traffic violations, or driving under the influence, the insurance coverage may be voided, and the lessee may be held financially responsible for the full amount of the damage.

These terms and conditions are governed by Norwegian law. Any disputes shall be settled in Vester&aring;len District Court.

The deposit works just like when you use a hotel or rental car. When ordering, an extra amount is reserved on your card for a small security against damage or late return.
